This sunset photo was taken on a whim. I was staying in Truro with my family for the week after Labor Day and my father happened to be down. After dinner one evening, I jumped up from the table and grabbed my camera and my dad. We took a quick ride down to Corn Hill on the bayside which overlooks Provincetown and the hook of the Cape. It just so happens that this bay conveniently faces west and affords some dazzling sunset photo opportunities!
I set up my tripod and snapped shots via remote control while my dad and I watched the sun go down. The beach day folks were being exchanged for the beach evening folks and we were joined by some other sunset watchers. We quietly enjoyed the light salt breeze coming off the bay and the peaceful sound of the small wavelets lapping at the shoreline. The sun slowly slipped under the horizon leaving a beautiful orange glow with pink-violet clouds in a stunning sky. Another lovely Cape Cod sunset.
