Ray started the business in 1977. Although he doesn't get the Opportunity to do much installation and refinishing work himself these days, he is personally involved with each and every floor we do. Our crew of installers and refinishers are all experts in their field. They are full time employees of Ray Case Floors, Inc. We do not rely on sub contractors or temporary labor. Each of our people cares just as much about your floor as Ray and they are proud of their work: It is because of the entire work force that year after year, Ray Case Floors, Inc. is the choice for a quality floor, by a dependable contractor, at a fair price.

We will try our best to disrupt your life as little as possible while we are in your house, but we must caution you that this is a dusty business. Our sanding equipment is the best we know of, but it does create dust. We will do our best to mask off the areas that you request and vacuum as thoroughly as possible when we finish, but there is still a good chance that the dust will  find its way into places we don't want it. It is a good idea to move any items you may be concerned about away from the area we will be working in. It is suggested that the removal of items from the work area be discussed before we arrive to do the work. Another place where dust can be a problem is the floor below where we are working. This is especially true when the floor below has open joist such as in the basement. Even the installation process will create dust in the basement.

We strive to adhere to a work schedule that fits your requirements. Unfortunately there are circumstances that sometimes prevent us from sticking to this schedule. We cannot predict every element that will be encountered when we begin a floor and this can throw the schedule off. When possible, we will attempt to contact you and see what can be arranged to rectify the situation. Contractors are often accused of having the "where'd they go" syndrome. They show up at a job set up some equipment, then leave. In the flooring business a certain amount of this behavior is necessary as we have need to allow drying time between each coat of finish. We find that when we finish is more important to most customers than when we start. If your plans require completion by a certain date, please be certain to inform us. We will be sure to do everything we can to be finished by that date.
