Collaborated with Monroe #1 B.O.C.E.S. and other sites in the interactive distance learning environment through videoconferencing ensuring optimal conditions for educators and students. (Other RAITN sites where on-location supervision duties arose on occasion included Greece Olympia High, East High, Fairport High, and East Rochester High Schools.) Conference scheduler managing a 7 site bridging hub. Research new standards and practices (such as our web casting internet initiative), test and implement new equipment and procedures within this rapidly evolving medium of information exchange. Other duties include managing student employees, maintaining department web site, and overseeing office operations.
	Accomplishments:
	Successful videoconference connections with France, England, Scotland and Australia. Blended the RAITN system and WestNet systems together when needed. Video streamed the 32nd Annual SUNYLA Conference to the planet Established the Research Unit of the Office of Interactive Distance Learning with Jon White and Carlos Jensen to explore and test the latest in technology that is relevant to higher education, distance learning and distribution of educational materials..

	Studio camera and teleprompter operator for live local newscasts, bowling and community talk shows. Involved in over 20 commercial spots for the station and as part of a production that won a Bronze Telly Award.

A Comprehensive Approach to Classroom Technology Support

The MCC Learning Resources Team has been recognized by Monroe Community College (MCC) for this year’s Innovation of the Year Award. The objective for the Educational Technology Services’ Learning Resources Team (LR) was to develop strategies that create an efficient and effective model for supporting faculty, staff, and students in these technology rich environments, and do so with a minimal increase in staff. In response to these needs, the team developed a comprehensive plan that focuses on innovative approaches to staffing, technology implementation, and training. The major elements and outcomes of this plan were: shift of responsibilities of student workers from the “AV” area to the Learning Resource Team, creation of smart classrooms, deployment of smart consoles to make “permanent portable” classrooms, piloting of PixiePro remote control system in classrooms, and faculty and staff support including Training Tracks and AV Hotline.
