To get these photos, I used an old glass
fish tank, 18"x 8" x 12" high. I placed the digital camera on the
bottom of the fish tank with the lens close to the long side. Next, I floated
the fish tank in the pond with my hand inside the tank, on the camera, so that I
could press the shutter. Then I pushed the tank lower into the water until the
camera was a little below the water level. I had to be careful not to lower it
too much, or the water would have come over the top. Finally, all I could do was
wait patiently and hope the fish would swim by. As you can see in the photo
below, their curiosity got the best of them.
