From: Rebecca Sweat 10:31 AM Subject: Manson's Maze, #2To: "'John Bailey'" Here are other rooms to refer to: Room 2 shows a moon with a star and flags (one a spear the other with "bull horns"). Room 3 shows a Sphinx, sun & moon. Room 6 is interesting when seen in the actual book. The sign on the post reads something like this: "Important Notice. All those who are visiting this house must be aware ... individual repr... (representing?) himself as the ... is no other tha... (than) the...," and then the rest is torn. Room 7 says the visitors didn't think the picture a very good likeness; of course there are many pictures. And here's that pull toy, like in Room 39. Room 8 is astounding in it's crookedness. The table has 6 legs which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Also, if the guide broke "another" on purpose, what did he break? There is no other bowl shown, nor is the first one shown as being broken. I wonder if this room is being shown in action, as they first walk in. Perhaps they are tripping over something Room 10 depicts a volcano, and there's that darn umbrella again. The paint can actually looks like a drum, or is at least in the same position as other drums in the house. Room 13 shows time with the clock, sundial, & list of time terms. There's also a spotlight on the sundial which seems to support the "quick passing of time" reference in the text. Time = Cronus Room 14 is giant, the doors are mouse holes. House of a giant or god might be so large. Room 16 has a curious being with a club, also shows a crown and a strange machine. I wonder who it is that runs from the opening in the doorway. Room 18, another bowling pin. Also a giant face for the fireplace, perhaps another refernce to Cronus eating his children. Room 21: I would really like to know what that bird is. Room 22 is interesting. The items depicted seem to be a weight, tail, an earring (womans jewelry from bottom to top) and water (H + 2 Os). If you say all these in fast order you get "wait til hearing water." Not sure about the pitchfork. Room 24 has the word "Stygian" in the text. This is also a reference to Greek & Roman mythology, specifically to Hades. Room 25 shows a crown again. This text refers to the guide's parents, and Cronus' parents were heaven and earth...perhaps a match. Room 27 has a picture of a cat on the wall, over the baseball bat. Room 28 (and 12) - What does the U & D stand for?? Room 32 has a bird that seems very similar to the bird on the pull toy in Rooms 7 & 39. Room 34; what does this ship refer to? I recognize it but cannot place it! Room 41 shows mushrooms at the feet of the wooden statue. This could also have to do with Cronus since he was god of the harvest...what else would his sacrifices be? The fly with the toad /frog looks funny. Room 44...an alligator or crocodile chained to a palm tree? Very odd. And he's stalking the little bird.
