i ran across something on the web today that reminded me of The Maze,
which i had last read when i was a kid (approx 15years ago), but never
solved.  i found a nice web version (the same one you point to), messed
with it for awhile, then decided to neatly diagram the room relationships
for a better overview, from a purely topological standpoint (i.e. not
taking into account any possible clues from the narative).

attached is what i came up with. it was immediatly obvious that i am
missing a door somehow, because there are two unconnected sets of rooms
(17, 23, 28, 32, and of course 45 in their own group).

i'm making my effort available in the hopes that someone will find it
useful as an aid to visualizing the paths through the maze.
