This uses the Java Media Framework ( JMF ) 1.1 platform independent Java implementation.

The JMF is a new, optional extententional extension to the Java language.

This requires Netscape and Windows 95 / 98 !   Sorry !

Java is a device independent language, unfortunately not all features are supported on all platforms at this time.

Java runs on Macintosh, Be, Unix & Linux, and Windows ( except WinCE, the inferior and Java Crippled OS from the Monopolist ) and dedicated Web appliances ( except WebTV, the inferior and Java Crippled Device from the Monopolist ).

The program on this page uses new, highly specialized components that are not commonly used,
so it doesn't run on most machines.

  1 ) Java 1.1 is required.
  2 ) It runs fine with Explorer when run locally ( off the net ).
   
  The problems with Explorer may be Explorer, JMF 1.1, or my error.
  JMF 2.0 has recently been released and it may solve the problem.
