Wainman, (2002 Champion) left no doubt as to who would win the award for "Most Beer Spills" when he spilled 5 beers at the last race of the 2002 season, bringing his season total to 8. Hermes was next best with 3 spills.

DAMAR is a group of "adults" racing toy cars in the Upstate New York area. This organization was formed by a group of 13-year old kids in 1970. Now some of us have our own kids that race with us. But first and foremost, what must be remembered is why we do this: the Beer. We require racers (over the age of 21) to drink beer while racing. We're here to have fun. We do award prizes and stuff, but it's more for the bragging rights than any kind of monetary reward. We charge NO ENTRY FEES, and we pay no prize money. But you can always find a beer.

Because of the alcohol and the language that becomes part of a DAMAR event, we like to think of our races as "PG-13". For that reason, minors are NOT allowed entry unless accompanied by parent, and that parent must be racing. If you're OK with your kid hearing a few words and expressions that he/she normally only hears on the bus to and from school, then we're ok with it too.

We race T-Jets, AFX, Tyco-Pro and other great cars from the 60's and 70's. We also race the newer 440X-2, Super G+, etc. We limit downforce with a gauge plate so that anyone can buy a stock car and be competitive. We take pride in adding scenery to our tracks to make the racing even more enjoyable.

Crew replacing the old Model Motoring track that caused race day problems at Parma International. The re-construction was completed October 2001. The track is now 100% contiuous rail Tomy.
