Most of the maps are 1 or 2 pages, with the route highlighted and route instructions printed on the map. Occasionally a detailed overlay is included to clarify a tricky intersection or identify something of interest. Some maps have additional route highlighting to identify especially twisty sections.

Map
printing
The map is a 150 dpi PDF file chosen to preserve small detail. For best
quality prints, sized ~7.5 X 9.5 to fit your tank bag map window: Print
using a normal (not draft) quality setting on your printer. Ink jet
photo paper works well to prevent the ink from "bleeding" and blurring
the smallest details. Note: you will need a PDF reader
to open and/or print the file

Routes
This is a small site, so maps are shown as large thumbnails without detailed
route instructions. If you want a complete map with route instructions, click on the E-mail
link to request it. Each map page runs 200kB - 400kB and some routes
have as many as 9 pages. Garmin (.gdb) files and GPS exchange format
(.gpx) files are available for some routes. The GPS routes generally
duplicate the .pdf route, but may vary depending on the base map
and routing preferences resident on your particular device.
